About Vid Helper
Vid Helper aids with video production and uploads. This policy applies to the Vid Helper website and application, including its optional YouTube connection. For questions about this policy, see Support & contact.
Information we handle
- Account information: your username, display name, password hash, role, account status, and saved preferences.
- Production content: scripts, prompts, uploaded footage, images, audio, generated media, video titles, project settings, and rendered videos.
- Channel connections: connected channel identifiers and names, authorization tokens, connection settings, and upload records such as titles, progress, errors, and video identifiers.
- Technical information: request and error logs, network information such as IP addresses, and browser information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- Support information: information you choose to provide when asking for help.
How information is used
We use this information to provide account access, organize projects, process the media you submit, generate and render videos, carry out uploads you enable, show progress, and investigate failures or misuse. Authorized members of your workspace may access projects according to their assigned role.
Content you submit for a production task may be sent to services that perform that task, such as media processing or generation. Connecting YouTube is a separate permission: we do not use connected Google account data to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
Google & YouTube access
Vid Helper uses YouTube API Services. When you choose to connect a channel, Google asks you to approve permission to upload videos and read your YouTube account information. We use that access to identify your channel, display its name, confirm the upload destination, and upload finished videos when you enable automatic uploading.
We store authorization tokens to keep the connection working without asking you to sign in for every upload. We do not receive or store your Google password. Newly completed videos upload as private videos when automatic uploading is enabled; you can review them in YouTube Studio.
Vid Helper's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to build unrelated profiles. Human access to that data is limited to your consent, necessary security investigations, legal obligations, or other uses permitted by that policy.
Google handles information under the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Vid Helper's access through your Google account permissions.
Browser storage
The application uses browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Sign out on shared devices. The public information pages do not load advertising trackers or analytics scripts. External services you choose to visit, including Google sign-in and YouTube, have their own storage and privacy practices.
Retention & deletion
Account and production data are retained to provide your workspace and its projects until removed through available controls or a deletion request. Upload history and diagnostic records may remain after a channel is disconnected. Disconnecting removes the saved YouTube authorization tokens and disables automatic uploads; it does not delete your production projects or videos already uploaded to YouTube.
You can request deletion of account, project, connection, and upload-history data by following our data-deletion instructions. We may need to verify your authority over the account or content. Some records may need to be retained for legal or security purposes; ask support for the scope and status of your request. Manage or delete uploaded YouTube videos in YouTube Studio.
Your choices & questions
You can choose whether to connect YouTube, turn off automatic uploads, disconnect a channel, or revoke access in your Google account. You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. Available rights may depend on where you live.
Email magnus.caruansen@gmail.com for support, privacy questions, or data-deletion requests. Include your Vid Helper username and the channel or project involved. Never send passwords, sign-in codes, or access tokens.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
