Data deletion & access

Disconnecting a channel, revoking permission, and deleting stored data are separate actions. Here is how to do each.

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Disconnect YouTube

  1. Sign in to Vid Helper and open Channels → YouTube for the relevant channel.
  2. Wait for any active upload to finish.
  3. Select Disconnect.

This removes the saved YouTube authorization tokens and connection identity and disables automatic uploads. It does not delete production projects, saved connection settings, upload history, or videos already on YouTube. If your role cannot manage connections, ask your workspace administrator.

Revoke Google permission

Visit your Google account permissions, choose the app used to connect Vid Helper, and remove its access. This prevents further authorized access with that grant and may affect other channels connected through the same Google account.

Revoking Google permission does not itself delete records already held by Vid Helper. Use the deletion-request instructions below for those records.

Request deletion of stored data

Email magnus.caruansen@gmail.com for support, privacy questions, or data-deletion requests. Include your Vid Helper username and the channel or project involved. Never send passwords, sign-in codes, or access tokens.

State which information you want deleted: your account, production projects and media, saved connection settings, or YouTube connection and upload-history data. For a complete removal, explicitly request all of these. We may ask you to confirm ownership or authority before processing the request.

Ask support to confirm what was removed and explain any records that must be retained for legal or security purposes. Deleting a Vid Helper account alone does not necessarily remove shared projects or channel records.

Delete videos from YouTube

Use YouTube Studio to delete videos uploaded to your channel. Disconnecting Vid Helper, revoking access, or requesting deletion from Vid Helper does not delete those videos from YouTube.
